System of a Down - Toxicity

One of my Fav song, here we go. .check the lyric and download if you love it!!

System of a Down - Toxicity
Conversion, software version 7.0,
Looking at life through the eyes of a tire hub,
Eating seeds is a pastime activity,
The toxicity of our city, of our city,

no, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder, disorder,
Now, somewhere between the sacred silence,
Sacred silence and sleep,
Somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep,
Disorder, disorder, disorder.

More wood for their fires, loud neighbors,
Flashlight reveries caught in the headlights of a truck,
Eating seeds is a pastime activity,
The toxicity of our city, of our city,

no, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder, disorder,
Now, somewhere between the sacred silence,
Sacred silence and sleep,
Somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep,
Disorder, disorder, disorder.

You, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder-er-er-er
Now, somewhere between the sacred silence,
Sacred silence and sleep,
Somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep,
Disorder, disorder, disorder.

When I became the sun,
I shone life into the man's hearts,
When I became the sun,
I shone life into the man's hearts.

Muse - Neutron Star Collision

In a third sequel to Twilight with subtitles Eclipse, Muse still participate in contributing a song to the movie. If in the first edition of Twilight, Muse Supermassive Black Holes donated, second edition I Belong to You, then at the third edition release of Neutron Star Collision Muse as its flagship. Here are the lyrics of Neutron Star Collision.

Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)
I was searching you were on a mission
Then our hearts combined like a neutron star collision
I have nothing left to lose
You took your time to choose
Then we told each other with no trace of fear that

Our love would be forever
And if we die, we die together
Well I, I said never
Cause our love would be forever

The world is broken, halos fail to glisten
We try to make a difference but no one wants to listen
Hail the preachers, fake and proud
Their doctrines will be cloud
Then they'll dissipate like snowflakes in an ocean

Love is forever and we'll die
We'll die together
Well I, I said never
Cause our love, could be forever

Now I've got nothing left to lose
You take your time to choose
I can tell you now without a trace of fear

That my love will be forever
And well die, we'll die together
Will I, I will never
Cause our love will be forever

Band Composition Has Changed??

Much band had been doing this in their journey. From a legend until new band like Avenged doing this. Avenged?? Yeaa, since their drum hero passaed away, if they stiil wanna exist they've been pushed to search for a new drummer. After that? I don't know exactly they still exist or not later. It's all because of market. Fans on a cross way if their fave bandin this situation. Maybe some love old composition, some other learn new one.
Led Zeppelin had a problem to found a new drummer when Bonzo leave them. Some drummer they tried in some concert but they can't found new one.
Band exchanged means preparation for new band character, if they can't suit this with new member, the existance can be worst.
So, what the band needed to stay in exist although have an exchange in their band? I think the answer is song! Yup, song. Band must be create a great song for their existence because it is their pay source. A band always exist if thgey can create a good song and loved by music market.
Keep the music alive!!

Java Jazz Festival

Music industries in Indonesia walk on the right steps, grow so constantly. A lot of solos or band invited to Indonesia and all of them love to come in. One of the Festival is Jazz, maybe if compare with other genres, Jazz had just a few listener, but they always exist in music stage. They have their own fan and Jakarta knew that condition. So a festival was held to satisfying a Jazz fans. Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival (JJF) is one of the largest jazz festivals in the world Jakarta, Indonesia. An annual jazz festival held every early March it was designed to be one of the largest jazz festivals globally. It was held for the first time, in 2005, approximately 125 groups and 1,405 artists performed in 146 shows. The festival was attended by 57,800 visitors, during its three-day stretch.Up until the fourth Festival in 2008, there were 180 Indonesian and international groups, and 1,600 artists that performed in 300 shows on the festivals 18 stages. The festival in 2008 was attended by 69,000.
JJF’s motto, “Bringing the World to Indonesia”, is implemented through the act of inviting numerous international artists to the festival. This is not only intended to treat the public with a feast of international talents, but also as an opportunity for international artists to see the talent of Indonesia’s jazz musicians, as well as jazz improvisations paired with Indonesian traditional music and also arouse collaborations on JJF's stages.
During the four years of the festival, collaborations create a new musical harmony. People of diverse background (nation and culture) meet in harmony through jazz.
Peter F. Gontha, the director claims that musicians are the appropriate ambassadors to vocalize peace.

My 'Old Song' Doctrinate. .

A few days ago, I accompanied my student had a jam with his band mate. I saw they're all enjoy played their fave band songs like from Avenged 7x, Metallica or T.R.I.A.D (Indonesian Band). I suggest they're didn't knew 70's or 80's bands. Yeahh, they know about Metallica, Dragon Force etc, but I think they didn'y my fave one, such as Led Zeppelin, Queen, Black Sabbath and so on, they ever heard but not massively like I did.
Slowly, I doctrinate them with my music ha haa. . I make them listen to Black Dog, Immigrant Song, All of My life and some from Queen. I said to them all this is it, a great song, a glorious song, awesome..! Avenged is great, skillful but honestly I'm not really like with their song. I still admire about how Queen, Led Zeppelin and Beatles compose their song, so unpredictable. maybe that all based on each taste. If we heard their song, they almost never make the same music, always dynamic on the beat and improving harmony in every album.
Actually, I'm not push my student for love my music, I just show them that they're all a legend in music industries. Indirectly, I show them to learn valuing a song, which good music or bad one.

Keroncong Maestro Gesang passed away at 92

One of the Indonesian Composer, Gesang passed away Thursday shortly after 6 p.m. May 20, 2010 in Surakarta, Central Java, after being hospitalized since last week. He was admitted to  PKU Muhammdiyah Hospital on May 12 with a digestive problem, and had eventually  died of asphyxiation and heart failure. He is the composer of beautiful song, Bengawan Solo (Solo River) that had been a famous song until translated to a lot of foreign language. In Asia, Bengawan Solo accepted in China and Japan. More over in Japan, Japan build a reading place for children named Gesang that placed on near of Bengawan River.
Indonesia must be proud about his contribution for this state, so the World knows as a Maestro of Keroncong
(Portuguese-influenced traditional music).
Good bye, We're all will be miss you. .

Make Sound Much Better

Your Bass Drum sounds so 'hard' or 'gentling'?
Sound setting on Bass Drum for create a great sound can be very difficult (Bonham master on this ha ha. .), but maybe my friend setting suitable for you to try.
Sometimes the bass drum itself is the problem. In other cases, the problem may be the room you are playing in. There are many steps you can take to get a better sound out of your bass drum, including proper tuning and muffling or adjusting the bass drum pedal. Here it is my friends took for his drum. The first thing, you have to do is prepare your drum kit.

Things You'll Need:

  • Bass drum
  • Muffling
  • Towels
  • Clothing
  • Bass drum pedal
The Step is:
  • Check the bass drum's tuning. Make sure that the bass drum is tuned evenly all around. Tighten each section of the drum head so that the tension is uniform.
  • Place a pillow inside of the bass drum. An empty bass drum can often provide too much resonance. Muffling is the solution to this problem. A cheap and simple way to muffle a bass drum is by using a pillow. Don't use too large a pillow or you will lose too much of the low end of the drum sound. Experiment with different pillow sizes until you find the sound you want.
  • Put clothing or towels inside the bass drum. These popular alternatives to pillows will give you more control over the level of muffling.
  • Use professional muffling products. Instead of a pillow or clothes, consider using more expensive professional bass drum muffling products. Remo produces some of the more popular bass drum muffling solutions (see Resources).
  • Adjust the height of your bass drum pedal. The pedal should make contact with the bass drum directly in the center of the drum in order to get the best possible sound. If the pedal is off center, you will get a weaker sound because of reduced airflow.
  • Try moving your drums to a different room. Rooms that are too reflective can make the drums sound too resonant. Small rooms that are not reflective enough can make the bass drum sound weak. You may be hearing "the room" rather than the true sound of the bass drum.
OK guys, keep practice!!

School of Rock: Indonesian Music School

Education was the one of main base in people characteristic, this absolutely thanked by Ahmad Dhani. So in 2010, he opened a music school that named School of Rock (SoR). In this business, he have accompanied with the biggest Indonesia Educational Field 'Primagama'. All teaching method, curriculum and Product are arranged by him.
SoR located in Ruko Permai Pogung Lor No. 2,3,4 Ring Road Utara Jogjakarta Indonesia, build in franchise system and everybody with dedication personality can join this school. The aim of music school that confirm is create a new generation who has integrity and dedication for music. Good Luck Dhani. .!

There's my fav song, maybe you wanna hear too. Please enjoy!!
Radiohead - Street Spirit (Fade Out)

Rows of houses all bearing down on me
I can feel their blue hands touching me
All these things in all positions
All these things will one day take control
And fade out again and fade out

This machine will will not communicate these thoughts
And the strain I am under
Be a world child form a circle before we all go under
And fade out again and fade out again

Cracked eggs dead birds
Scream as they fight for life
I can feel death can see it's beady eyes
All these things into frution
All these things we'll one day swallow whole
And fade out again and fade out again.

Other Side of Ahmad Dhani: Indonesian Legendary Musician

Now, I wanna share about the most controversial musician in Indonesia. Much people love him, and either who hate him. Dhani Ahmad Prasetyo (born May 26, 1972 in Surabaya), better known as Ahmad Dhani is an Indonesian rock musician. His Band, DEWA19 reach up leveled in music industies caused of his contribution. For Indonesian People, all of his contribution in music is undebatable. Everybody knows how genius he is in music, so I won't share that point. I want share the other side of him, how he make a move for his band managerial and spirituality of course, he follows tassawuf or sufi's way in spirituality.
Where's the controvercy??
Since his album Warriors of Love (Laskar Cinta) reportedly "challenged militant ideology" and was "massively popular" in Indonesia, he grab a lot of success. Dhani wanna share about democracy, a beautiful differences among human life, tolerance etc. For people that unmindful with him, he looks so western ideology, but in this case he show that tolerancy must have in religion life. He teach everybody that Islam is peaceful and beautiful, for that contribution, he had been invited by Australia and America to take an oration about tolerancy, and he also joining with Libforall Foundation.

Synthesizer, Usefull or Useless?

Now a days, Synthesizer was a "thing" that popular used in Modern Music Instumentally. Bands like Linkin Park, Muse and Indonesian Famous Band DEWA19 use this hardware. So, What is Synthesizer?

A synthesizer is an electronic instrument that utilizes multiple sound generators to create complex waveforms that can be combined into countless sonic variations through various waveform synthesis techniques.
"Synths" generate sounds and percussion sets by utilizing a number of different technologies or programmed algorithms, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Among the most popular waveform synthesis techniques are subtractive synthesis, additive synthesis, granular synthesis, wavetable synthesis, frequency modulation synthesis, phase distortion synthesis, physical modeling synthesis, sample-based synthesis and subharmonic synthesis.
Synthesizers are often controlled with a piano-style keyboard, leading such instruments to be referred to simply as "keyboards". Several other forms of controller have been devised to resemble violins, guitars and wind-instruments: there are also several automatic means of electronic control.

The first electric synthesizer was invented in 1876 by Elisha Gray, who is best known for his development of a telephone prototype. The Hammond Novachord was an early but unsuccessful harbinger of synth technology in the 1930s-40s. Robert Moog introduced the first commercially-available modern synthesizer in the 1960s. In the 1970s the development of miniaturized solid-state components allowed synthesizers to become self-contained, portable instruments. By the early 1980s companies were selling compact, modestly-priced synthesizers to the public. This, along with the development of Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI), made it easier to integrate and synchronize synthesizers and other electronic instruments for use in musical composition. In the 1990s synthesizers began to appear as computer software.

 There's any type in Synthesizer?
Additive synthesis builds sounds by adding harmonically related waveforms. An early analog example of an additive synthesizer is the Hammond organ. Additive synthesis is also the principle of Wavetable synthesis, which is used to implement real-time synthesis with minimum hardware, commonly used in low-end MIDI instruments such as educational keyboards, and low-end sound cards.
Subtractive synthesis is based on filtering harmonically rich waveforms. Due to its simplicity, it is the basis of early synthesizers such as the Moog synthesizer. Subtractive synthesizers use a simple acoustic model that assumes an instrument can be approximated by a simple signal generator (producing sawtooth waves, square waves, etc.) followed by a filter. The combination of simple modulation routings (such as pulse width modulation and oscillator sync), along with the physically unrealistic lowpass filters, is responsible for the "classic synthesizer" sound commonly associated with "analog synthesis" and often mistakenly used when referring to software synthesizers using subtractive synthesis.
FM synthesis is a process that usually involves the use of at least two signal generators (commonly referred to as "operators") to create and modify a voice. Often, this is done through the analog or digital generation of a signal that modulates the tonal and amplitude characteristics of a base carrier signal. More sophisticated FM synths can use up to 4 or 6 operators per voice and also often use filters and variable amplifier types to alter the signal's characteristics into a sonic voice that either roughly imitates acoustic instruments or creates sounds that are totally unique.
Phase distortion synthesis is a method implemented on Casio CZ synthesizers.
Granular synthesis is a type of synthesis based on manipulating very small sample slices.
Physical modeling synthesis is the synthesis of sound by using a set of equations and algorithms to simulate a real instrument, or some other physical source of sound. This involves taking up models of components of musical objects and creating systems which define action, filters, envelopes and other parameters over time. The definition of such instruments is virtually limitless, as one can combine any given models available with any amount of sources of modulation in terms of pitch, frequency and contour. For example, the model of a violin with characteristics of a pedal steel guitar and perhaps the action of piano hammer. When an initial set of parameters is run through the physical simulation, the simulated sound is generated. Although physical modeling was not a new concept in acoustics and synthesis, it wasn't until the development of the Karplus-Strong algorithm and the increase in DSP power in the late 1980s that commercial implementations became feasible. Physical modeling on computers gets better and faster with higher processing.
Sample-based synthesis One of the easiest synthesis systems is to record a real instrument as a digitized waveform, and then play back its recordings at different speeds to produce different tones. This is the technique used in "sampling". Most samplers designate a part of the sample for each component of the ADSR envelope, and then repeat that section while changing the volume for that segment of the envelope. This lets the sampler have a persuasively different envelope using the same note.

Who's John Henry Bonham?

A Legend in Technical Druming, wellknown as member of Super Legendary band Led Zeppelin. He's called Bonzo (31 May 1948 – 25 September 1980).Bonham was esteemed for his speed, power, fast right foot, distinctive sound, and "feel" for the groove. He is considered to be one of the greatest drummers in the history of rock music by other musicians and commentators in the industry.

John Bonham had two siblings; his younger brother, Mick Bonham (1951–2000), was a disc jockey, author and photographer and his younger sister, Deborah Bonham (born in 1962), who is a singer-songwriter.
Bonham was married to Pat Phillips, and the couple had two children; his daughter Zoë Bonham (born 1975), who is a singer-songwriter and also appears regularly at Led Zeppelin conventions and awards, and his son Jason Bonham (born 1966), a rock drummer who has gained success with various bands including Foreigner and Bonham. On 10 December 2007, he played with Led Zeppelin on the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert, as well as their previous reunion at the Atlantic Records 40th Anniversary show on 15 May 1988. A 1970 film clip of a four-year-old Jason playing drums appears in the Led Zeppelin film The Song Remains the Same. Zoë and Jason appeared at the induction ceremony for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 along with the surviving members of Led Zeppelin. John's mother, Joan Bonham, is one of the lead vocalists for the Zimmers, a 40-member band set up as a result of a BBC documentary on the treatment of the elderly.
Bonham's cousin Billy Bonham (born 1950), also played keyboards for Terry Reid and Ace Kefford.

On 24 September 1980, Bonham was picked up by Led Zeppelin assistant Rex King to attend rehearsals at Bray Studios for an upcoming tour of the U.S.; the band's first since 1977. During the journey Bonham had asked to stop for breakfast, where he drank four quadruple vodkas (sixteen shots, amounting to about half of an imperial quart or 565 ml, approximately 2/3 of a "fifth" (of a U.S. gallon) of vodka). He then continued to drink heavily when he arrived at the rehearsals. A halt was called to the rehearsals late in the evening and the band retired to Page's house, The Old Mill House in Clewer, Windsor. After midnight on the 25th, Bonham had fallen asleep and was taken to bed and placed on his side. Benji LeFevre (who had replaced Richard Cole as Led Zeppelin's tour manager) and John Paul Jones found him dead the next afternoon. Bonham was 32 years old.
Weeks later at the coroner's inquest, it emerged that in the 24 hours before he died, John Bonham had consumed forty shots of vodka which resulted in him vomiting and subsequent aspiration (inhaling) of his vomit, causing asphyxiation. A verdict of accidental death was returned at an inquest held on 27 October. An autopsy had found no other drugs in Bonham's body. John Bonham was cremated and, on 12 October 1980, interred at Rushock Parish Church, Worcestershire. His headstone reads:
CHERISHED MEMORIES OF A LOVING HUSBAND AND FATHER JOHN HENRY BONHAM WHO DIED SEPT. 25th 1980 AGED 32 YEARS He will always be Remembered in our hearts. Goodnight my Love, God Bless.

John Bonham's gravestone at Rushock Parish churchyard, Worcestershire
Despite media rumors that drummers including Cozy Powell, Phil Collins, Carmine Appice, Barriemore Barlow, Roger Taylor, Simon Kirke or Bev Bevan, among others, would join the group as his replacement, the remaining members decided to disband Led Zeppelin after Bonham's death. They issued a press statement on 4 December 1980, confirming that the band would not continue without its drummer. "We wish it to be known that the loss of our dear friend and the deep respect we have for his family, together with the sense of undivided harmony felt by ourselves and our manager, have led us to decide that we could not continue as we were." It was simply signed "Led Zeppelin".
